NINA PLEASANTS started her career as a professional actress at Acadia Repertory Theatre in Mt. Desert, ME. After being in NY, London, and Boston, she has returned to her favorite place on earth – Maine. She has appeared most recently as Dottie in “Noises Off” at the Calderwood Theatre in Boston with Boston University, “Fen” by Caryl Churchill at the Charlestown Working Theatre and as a company member of the Gypsy Mamas Artist Group’s production of Creation Stories at the Playwright’s Theatre. These last ten years she has worked primarily as a director, teacher and dialect coach in the Boston area. She now lives in Norridgewock, ME with her husband and two dogs and is hoping to convert her barn into a workshop and rehearsal space. She also works as a real estate agent with Town and Country, Realtors and is helping to organize the “Kneading Conference” for local grain farmers, and artisan bread bakers in Skowhegan in Aug.
